Daily Meditation for Spiritual Awakening:
“We begin by letting the Powers know that we are willing to be their servants to others.”
— Fools Crow, Lakota
In the journey of life and recovery, we recognize that each of us is born with a purpose—a mission to serve and help one another. The Powers are always present, waiting to express themselves through those who are ready to take action. When we affirm our readiness to serve, we invite these forces to work through us, bringing hope and healing to our world.
As we navigate our paths, we face the challenge of transforming self-destructive patterns into constructive choices. Change becomes necessary, for active addiction is a dance with death, and the life of an addict is often lived cheaply. In choosing recovery, we consciously choose life, deciding each day to care for ourselves and embrace our inherent worth. By avoiding self-destructive behaviors, we affirm our commitment to recovery and the vibrant life that awaits.
As we mature, we learn the importance of discernment and autonomy within the framework of our Fellowship. With each role we take on—whether as a member, sponsor, or trusted servant—we glean wisdom from our experiences. We strive to balance individual autonomy with the collective well-being, recognizing that sound judgment is essential for growth. When making decisions, we invite loving guidance to assist us, ensuring that our choices align with the guiding principles of our shared journey.
Together, in this Fellowship, we create a space for openness and mutual respect, where diverse perspectives enhance our understanding. As we listen for the voice of guidance, we practice discernment and identify a spiritual path forward. In doing so, we embolden each other to fulfill our responsibilities, nurturing a community committed to healing.
Just for Today: I will open myself to the Powers, embracing service and recovery. I will practice discernment in my decisions, honoring both my personal journey and the shared mission of fellowship.
