“Life is making use of you - you should be grateful there’s a purpose for you.”
In our journey on this earth, we work through our experiences to fulfill our divine purpose. Each of us is meant to be a channel for love and healing, empowered to reclaim our lives and move beyond the wreckage of our past. As we engage with our Fellowship, we take this opportunity seriously; we acknowledge the damage we’ve faced and strive to clean up the debris that has held us back.
We begin each day with gratitude, offering our gifts—be it in the form of prayer, acts of kindness, or genuine connections with others. It is through our willingness to let go of selfishness and to embark on a spiritual path that we prepare ourselves to serve a greater purpose. Love becomes a central theme in our recovery, and as we learn to express it without manipulation or expectation, we also create the space to receive love unconditionally.
The Ninth Step allows us to amend our past and set our wrongs right—removing the character defects that cloud our understanding of love. In this process, we recognize how our past experiences may have distorted our perceptions of giving and receiving love. Now, in our Fellowship, we are learning new ways to love—through honesty, acceptance, and the shared understanding of our journeys.
Today, we honor our purpose and the guidance that leads us to recovery. As we connect with others, we cultivate love that is free from conditions, rooted in acceptance rather than expectations. Just for today, let us reclaim our lives, transcending the wounds of the past, and step forward into the light of community and love. We are not alone; together, we are making the world a better place.
