As members of the Native community, we believe in the power of the Great Spirit, who sees and hears everything. We understand that we will be given a spirit-home in the afterlife based on our actions - good or bad. Just like Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe, we cannot hide our true intentions from the Creator.

We follow a system of justice where we reap what we sow. If we plant good, goodness will return to us. If we plant negativity, we will face the consequences. Our thoughts and actions towards others are reflected back to us. This universal law of justice cannot be altered by any means. What truly matters is our actions, not just our words.

In our Fellowship, we acknowledge that all things start with a dream. When we were in active addiction, we may have given up on our dreams. But now, in recovery, we have the opportunity to make those dreams a reality. By setting realistic goals and taking action, we can achieve what we once thought was impossible. Our members often find that more dreams come true in recovery than they ever imagined.

We recognize the importance of balancing willingness with humility in our service to the Fellowship. Each of us contributes in ways that align with our abilities and lives. While serving others is essential, we must also be mindful of not overcommitting ourselves. We learn to recognize our limits, ask for help when needed, and practice humility in all our actions.

Today, we will remember that our dreams can become realities and that our willingness to serve should be tempered with humility. As members of the Fellowship, we strive to make a positive impact on ourselves and others, guided by the principles of justice, gratitude, and humility. May we all find fulfillment in our journey towards spiritual awakening and well-being.
