Fellowship of Sacred Balance
In our journey towards well-being and spiritual awakening, we embrace the principle of treating ourselves with the utmost respect. We begin by refraining from self-abuse, consciously engaging in actions that honor our body, mind, and spirit. Abstaining from substances allows us to break free from the patterns of our past that led to self-destruction. This newfound clarity provides the foundation for us to reflect upon who we have been and who we desire to become.
With prayer and good intentions, we make our lives sacred, inviting balance into our everyday existence. In this sacredness, we recognize that all life is worthy of reverence. As we engage with the Steps, we not only examine our motivations and choices but also pray for strength to overcome temptations that may arise on our path. Each moment of reflection is an opportunity to see the lessons hidden in our experiences, guiding us back to harmony.
Restoration to sanity and embracing recovery requires honoring our whole selves. It involves acknowledging the interconnectedness of our body, mind, and spirit. As we share our experiences within this Fellowship, we learn from one another, empowering ourselves to strip away guilt, remorse, and shame. We understand that seeking help from professionals—be they doctors, therapists, or mentors—can serve as a form of divine guidance, supporting us in our quest for healing.
As we strive to cultivate self-respect, we become more attuned to harmful habits and are inspired to change them. We recognize that progress is a journey of ups and downs, but every step forward, no matter how small, is a victory worth celebrating. Let us not forget to see beauty in all things and approach each day with a sacred eye, honoring the lessons we receive from the Creator and from each other.
