Look behind you. See your sons and your daughters. They are your future. Look farther and see your sons’ and your daughters’ children and their children’s children even unto the Seventh Generation. That’s the way we were taught. Think about it: you yourself are a Seventh Generation. The Creator designed us with a free will, enabling us to function from choices and consequences. Every choice we make today sets in motion a series of effects not just on ourselves, but on our descendants for seven generations. When our choices reflect spiritual growth and adherence to positive paths, we set a pattern for our lineage.

Freedom from active addiction is a profound gift. Many come to this realization when they find a community that helps them rise from the ruins of their past lives. It is not about achieving material success, but about gaining spiritual wealth and healing. In the rooms of recovery, we find solace and companionship that nurture our spirits, affording us a freedom our former lives lacked.

This freedom allows us to make better choices—choices that aren’t just for our own well-being but for our children and their children even unto the Seventh Generation. Our spiritual journey and recovery enrich future generations. The miracles of one clean day accumulate into a legacy of resilience and spiritual strength, reflecting a commitment to walk a path of growth and enlightenment. For this, we thank the Creator for granting us the clarity and freedom to set forth a better path for those who follow us, understanding that our decisions echo through time and build the foundation of future prosperity, not just in material terms, but in the richness of spirit. Our recovery is a gift bestowed not just upon us, but a heritage passed down through generations.
