“God is making use of you - you should be grateful He’s found a use for you.”
Each human being has a purpose given to us by a higher power, and we are here to fulfill that purpose. This higher power can only create through us, and our only work is to prepare ourselves to be channels for its will. This preparation requires prayer, unselfishness, and a commitment to a spiritual path.
As we reclaim our lives, we begin to address the wreckage of our past. Coming to Fellowship, we may have feared facing this debris, but we have spent much time preparing for this important step. We started with personal inventories and shared our struggles with a trusted few. We have looked at our shortcomings and asked for help to remove the defects of our character, listing the amends needed to set things right.
Every morning, we look to the east and offer our gifts in prayer, asking for guidance in our intentions for the day. In this way, we honor our purpose, doing the work we are meant to do.
The path to freedom lies in amending our past, reclaiming our lives from the chaos that once held us captive. With the support of Fellowship and the guidance of a higher power, we clear away the rubble that stands in the way of our progress, embracing the honor of serving a greater purpose.
Just for today: I will embrace the opportunity to reclaim my life and experience freedom from the wreckage of my past, recognizing that I am a vessel for this higher power’s work.
