As Native people, we understand the importance of spiritual connection and respect for all beings. Our Elders have taught us that we are all interconnected, and that harming the Earth or any living thing ultimately harms ourselves. By following the spiritual laws that govern the Earth and our own actions, we can maintain a harmonious relationship with Mother Earth.

In our Fellowship, we also recognize the vital importance of nurturing our spirit and staying clean. When we first come to the Fellowship, our spirit may be barely flickering, but with the support of our Higher Power and the love of our fellow members, that spark grows into a flame. We begin to truly live, finding purpose and joy in our existence.

Despite the challenges we may face and the temptation to use, we must remember that using substances leads to spiritual death. We have worked too hard to rebuild our spirituality to risk losing it all by giving in to the urge to use. Each day that we choose to stay clean, our spirit becomes stronger and our connection to our Higher Power deepens.

Today, let us honor our strong and vital spirit by staying clean. Let us continue to walk the path of recovery with gratitude and dedication, knowing that by doing so, we are honoring ourselves and our spiritual journey.
