The Creator gives us many laws to live by, designed for us to live in harmony and balance with ourselves and each other. These laws are about having freedom and happiness, teaching us how to treat each other, respect our Mother Earth, and care for the environment. Our Elders guide us in following these laws.
The gift of desperation can lead us to seek help from each other in Fellowship. When we reach a state of desperation, we become open to new ideas and willing to surrender. This gift of desperation allows us to accept spiritual principles that support our recovery. Just as a desperate animal seeks a safe haven, we find solace in the Fellowship.
Just for Today: The gift of desperation has helped me become honest, open-minded, and willing. I am grateful for this gift because it has made my spiritual awakening and well-being possible.
